Nebras Energy’s blood donation drive evokes amazing response

Tribune News Network – Doha – QATAR Electricity and Water Company (Nebras Energy), in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), organised a blood donation drive in Ras Abu Fontas Power and Desalination Plant recently, under the motto “Saving One Life Is As If Saving Whole of Humanity…” – Quran 5:32”.
The drive evoked overwhelming response with more than 140 employees showing up to donate blood.
The aim of the Nebras Energy initiative is to raise community awareness on the importance of blood donation and how a drop of blood donated can be significant in saving a life. Nebras Energy is committed to supporting social causes and has organised similar blood donation camps in the past as well.
Rashid Nasser al Hajre, PR & Shareholders manager said: “The Blood Donor Unit at HMC is always in need of supplies of blood. Without blood donors, many patients simply would not be alive today. We are tremendously proud of the great response from our employees and I would like to thank each person who donated their blood. This initiative is part of the Nebras Energy’s commitment to the community and is in line with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.”
