Mesaieed Power Company Ltd (M Power)
Mesaieed Power Company Ltd (M Power) is a joint stock company established in December 2006 with the objective of increasing Qatar’s electrical generation capacity and it’s maximize returns to shareholders.
Mesaieed Power Plant is located in Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC), and is the third Independent Power Producer (IPP) project of its kind in the country, with a contract capacity of 1,998 megawatts (MW) in 2016.

M Power signed a 25-year Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) with QatarEnergy
In March 2007, M Power signed a 25-year Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) with QatarEnergy and a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) to ensure co-ordination and efficiency in the supply and demand of gas and electricity.
These agreements enable arranged for M Power to sell its entire electricity production to Kahramaa, and, working closely with Kahramaa, make a significant contribution to the state of Qatar’s to ensure that electricity demand.
